Today’s Scripture: Sing praises to the LORD, O you his saints, and give thanks to his holy name. Psalm 30:4 ESV
Have you witnessed how praising God puts everything in order? We do are not called to praise God because our life is in order but our life comes into order by praising God.
Don’t you love the promise in the very next verse that states “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” (NLT)
For all of us, weeping will come yet in praising our God, joy always comes like a new day. How? By praising Him and asking Him to be our helper.
Even in my prayer life I find that when my thoughts are in disorder that if I will stop and begin to praise Him and count the ways I hallow His name all things come into order. In His order I find joy.
Do you sing God’s praises?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, I love You and thank You for being my Father. I praise who You are. You are the Creator God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. You are the King of kings and the LORD of lords. Thank You for being my helper and answering my cries and my praises. LORD, help me to sing Your praises and share Your joy like the freshness of a new morning. Amen

Hi Tom! The choir at my church sang “Praise Him in Advance” (by Marvin Sapp) a few months back, and it has been in my ears constantly! Some of the lyrics remind me of your reflection, “We are not called to praise God because our life is in order but our life comes into order by praising God.” (Hope you don’t mind, but I copied/pasted the lyrics below.) It is so good to praise Him, in advance for the victory! And I am A-mening your prayer of praise to our awesome Father right now, just because He is worthy. Glory to God! God bless you and yours, Cindy
I’ve had my share of ups and downs, times when there was no one around, God came and spoke these words to me, praise will confuse the enemy. [x2] I started singing, I started clapping, I started dancing, people were laughing, they knew my problems, they knew my pain, but I knew God would take them away. [repeat] That’s why I praise him with my hands, that’s why I praise him with a dance, He’s given me a second chance, come on let’s praise him in advance.
That’s why I praise him with a song, when things are right and when they’re wrong, He’s given me a second chance, come on let’s praise Him in advance. Praise Him [repeat]

You have taught us and reminded us of such a wonderful phenomena! Praise Him! All the time! It makes everything better. I’m reminded of the verse that says He inhabits the praises of His people. That can never be a bad thing. 🙂 God bless you as you praise Him no matter what today!
