Today’s Scripture: But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.” Mark 1:38 NKJ
Looking back almost five years since I first captured this affirmation, I am still drawn to Mark 1:35-38 as the life I want to live every day.
I want to go, like Jesus, while it is still dark to pray with my Father. I want to then go and do the purpose for which I have come. It has been in this solitude with God that His purpose becomes clearer to me. In this solitude and darkness God continues to shape me and draw me into His purpose.
I love meeting with my Father in the morning and have grown to trust His Spirit and His guidance. I still seek His will and His direction each day as He helps me through His Spirit and His Word to magnify how I may serve His purpose.
I must be more careful and diligent to DO my purpose today. Five years or a lifetime flies by in a hurry!
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ and for His example. LORD, I thank You that I too can come and pray as Jesus did. LORD, please grant me the confidence to know the purpose I am to go and do today. Forgive me for following other things. LORD, I praise You and ask You to honor our prayers and to guide and direct us. Amen

A lifetime does indeed fly by. It is so easy in the rush to lose focus on our purposes.
Amen Joseph, so easy to be distracted when we attempt to serve other things. LORD help us with the focus and diligence to do Your will! Blessings my friend in your purpose TODAY.
Thanks Tom and Amen to that!
So true–five years does fly by! The word “daily” jumped right off the computer at me. Thanks, Tom!
Thank you Julie, I saw something else in those verses where Jesus showed His focus and intentionality…I must be more selective to be focused on His purpose for sure…otherwise the hours, days, weeks, months, years and lifetimes can be robbed and stolen because we did not DO what was our purpose. I don’t know how but praying now God is teaching me how…Blessings as you do!
I love to meet with my Father too, Tom, and never want to forget how wonderful hat is and how much I need that time with Him! God bless you and thank you!
Thank you Deb! Blessings as you are with Him and do His purpose.
