Today’s Scripture: Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Ephesians 6:10 ESV
Angered once again to the point of pounding my first on the floor while praying to God I cried out “I hate that I have failed again; God help me to hate my sin as much as you.” His Word tells me I have the strength, in Him, to defeat this enemy.
Ephesians 6: 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. I have failed over and over again in my own strength. I have proven that I can not prevent the evil in my life on my own.
Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. There you go, we are NOT struggling with the flesh but the evil one himself. To fight this we can only do it if we stand firm and put on the armor of God. It is His strength and His might that defeats this evil. Stand firm, put on the armor and stand confidently that we are strong in the Lord and His armor.
Today’s Prayer: Mighty God, forgive me for thinking I could stand on my on strength. I praise You and thank You for giving me Your armor. I ask You to help me daily to put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, Your shoes of the gospel of peace, to use faith as my shield and to wear proudly this helmet of salvation and having the protection of the sword of the Spirit which is Your word. Yes, I am strong in You Lord. Amen
