Today’s Scripture: I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden wealth of secret places, So that you may know that it is I, The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name. Isaiah 45:3 NASB
Almost five years ago when I began Affirmations of God I stated “Treasure seeker of affirmations and promises from the word of God” on my about page. I did not know then the depth of those treasures. I can trust now I cannot perceive the future treasures either.
This blog journey began out of my darkness of alcoholism. I thank God for bringing me to my knees. Here on my knees in the darkness I have found more treasures than I can contain. I have found the hidden wealth in secret places. Places I did not know existed. Because of this I know there is an abundance of hidden wealth in secret places yet unknown to me or you.
My greatest desire is to teach how God has revealed His treasures in the darkness to me so I may share the wealth of God.
Are you receiving the treasures of darkness?
Today’s Prayer: Our Father who art in heaven, thank You for giving me Your treasures in the darkness. You are faithful still today to fill my soul with Your hidden wealth. Thank You for leading me to these secret places. Teach me LORD, use me LORD to teach the treasure hunting You have spoken into me so others too will teach out of their treasures. Amen

As Christians, let us not store up our treasures here on earth but as you said, Tom, “share the wealth of God,” Amen!
Thanks Debby, my perspective and knowledge of treasures and prosperity have a whole new heavenly experience here on earth for sure. Let us share our wealth and pray find their treasures in their darkness. Blessings as you share your treasures.
Wow, Tom. So true. I don’t think there’s any other way to discover these kinds of treasures except through brokenness. I love the words “hidden wealth in secret places.”
Thank you.
Well I am hard headed and funny enough read this morning is Isaiah where God says as much…He knows how hard our heads are and for most of us it does take the darkness to show us the light. This is my story for sure and also my song! Blessings as you share your treasures.
When I began reading your work Tom I was walking through the darkness of a divorce. As a Christian I never believed in divorce and certainly never thought I would be in that dark place. God used your words (among others)during that season to dig treasure out f the experience for me. There really is no place so dark God’s light cannot find us.
Thank you for sharing Joseph. The Holy Spirit does guide us and open us up to God’s light. This world, the ruler of this world, hopes to rob, steal and destroy our light. He can NOT. I began this journey out of that darkness of alcoholism and because of it almost experienced a divorce three years into this journey mostly from unresolved anger from many prior years of my actions…The more I have searched for God’s treasures the more I am convinced that what God has shown His light on has become light itself. This includes divorce, addictions and the lot. What was once our darkness is now our light because of God’s light shown there. What the world would have us hide, He has made visible and we can share our light with others so they too find hope that their darkness can turn to light. I love you brother and thank you for sharing your light with us here. Blessings as you share the treasures you have found in the darkness!! That is the worship the world needs that will invite them into the full worship of our LORD!
