Affirmation of God: I am filled with thankfulness to God.

Today’s Scripture: Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. Ephesians 5:4 NLT Tyndale 

God has given each of us a special ministry. Paul told the Ephesians that they already knew that God had given him “this” special ministry of taking Jesus’ saving grace to the Gentiles. 

What is your special ministry? God has given you one. He promised that the Holy Spirit would reveal it to you. What has the Spirit been revealing to you? Ephesians 3:7 states “By God’s special favor and mighty power, I have been given the wonderful privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. 

This special favor and mighty power is also giving you and me a wonderful privilege. In verse 12 we are told that “because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come fearlessly into God’s presence.” He gives us a mighty inner strength through His Holy Spirit. May our roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love. 

Yes this fills me with thankfulness to God for this ministry He has given me. I know He fills each of us with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  I pray we turn away from our doubts and the distractions of this world to go fearlessly into God’s presence and do our own special ministry.

What is yours? 

Today’s Prayer: Mighty God, thank You for my special ministry. Thank You for filling me with Your power. Strengthen me Father and shut my ears to the doubts of the evil one and my own fears. Help me to go fearlessly to where the Holy Spirit guides me. Help me to understand that I don’t have to understand and that if I follow Your will for me that I will experience the full love of Christ and live a life worthy of your calling. I am filled with thankfulness for you. Amen
