Today’s Scripture: Ezekiel 11:19 NIV: I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.
The Spirit of the Lord came upon Ezekiel for him to prophesy to Israel that His people should not conform to other nations but to remind them they were formed for and by God.
Ezekiel 11:20 gives us the results of living from His Spirit: “Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.” (NIV) With this new spirit we desire His ways and we are His and He is ours.
We see the results in our lives and in the world around us when we attempt to live with divided hearts. When we live from His heart and His Spirit we also witness those results and fruits too, don’t we? The world wants us to conform to its ways but we find newness conforming only to God and His ways.
Will you live from God’s heart and Spirit today?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for putting Your Spirit in me. Help me LORD to live with an undivided heart. Help me to live in and from Your Spirit.
Prepare my heart O LORD and fill me with Your Spirit so I will keep Your laws and be careful to conform to the ways of Your heart. Amen
