Today’s Scripture: And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT
The generosity of God is complete. Is there a difference between need and richness? Another scripture that impressed its truth and wonderment with me today was 2 Corinthians 8:9 where we are told that the poverty of Christ makes us rich. Although Jesus was rich and had access to all of God’s glory He chose to give it all up to make us rich.
Just some of the affirmations and reminders that came from 2 Corinthians 6-10 today were:
- God is ready to help me now.
- God’s power is working in me.
- I always have joy.
- I have spiritual riches.
- I own nothing yet have everything.
- God lives in me.
- God walks with me.
- God is my father.
- I have God’s promises.
- God encourages me.
- I have enough.
Yes, God provides all I need and in Him I have enough. I only pray that my wonderful joy and my deep poverty will overflow into rich generosity. I pray out of my richness I will give what I have. What do I have? I have God in me. That my friend is truly being rich. In His generosity we can give what we have. Do you have all you need?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your generosity. In my poverty You have made me rich. I am rich in the fact that You are in me and You are walking with me. Give me Your generous spirit so that I will give away what I have. May others experience Your wonderful joy and Your great riches. God give me the seeds that you want me to plant. Thank You for the gift of Your Son- a gift too wonderful for words. Amen.

Interesting that you would write this Tom. At Intercessory Prayer tonight I told the others that I may be poor in the natural but God provides All my needs both in the physical and the spiritual. I have had wealth most of my life but I wasn’t in the ‘Will of God.’ I am now in the center of His Will and I have more peace than I’ve ever had. I know He will provide for me.
“for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.” Philippians 4:11-12
I pray that you just trust in him and know that He wants you to prosper!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen.” Jeremiah 29:11-12

Wow, Kimberly I am so with you. I have more peace and more joy than I have every had in my life and care less about the financial riches I chased or coveted for so many years. God continues to peal back layers in my life where I see where I need to be obedient and in learning to be more obedient to Him and serve His purpose the more I will and do prosper. Isn’t it amazing how God can use us to confirm the message He has put on our hearts. When we are poor, when we are weak, He is the richness and the strength we need. Bless you Kimberly and may got continue to guide and direct you. May we give away as much of this peace and joy we have. We are rich indeed.

I, too, have the peace of mind knowing that God will provide for me. When I am in need of something, it is usually presented to me somehow within a few short hours. I tell other people how this works for me and I hope that they see it for themselves too. They just have to have faith.

Thank you Linda for stopping by. I do hope you will visit again. I am typically more responsive to those who take the time to share yet I am enjoying some family time with limited access to time or networks to log in. Blessings!

I love that you add in the word generously. Not only does He give all we need, but He does it generously. Love it.

Dustin, the Word does try to share with us the imaginable in written form. God amazes me with His generosity.
