Today’s Scripture: Psalm 143:8, NKJV- “Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.”
I have come to trust the LORD. There were times in my life when my logical mind could not grasp putting all my trust in Him. I have also found that as we mature in faith, we learn how abundantly we can trust God and how little we can trust ourselves, anyone, or anything else.
Day after day as I hallow our heavenly Father’s name in prayer, my mind acts out David’s words in Psalm 143:5 “I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.” (NIV) I have learned to trust the LORD by remembering who He is. He is the Creator God; He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, the prophets, and His Son.
God’s Word speaks to us His lovingkindness and teaches the way we should walk. When we lift our souls to Him, they are replenished with love and trust. Unshakable love and trust.
Psalm 143:10 proves true, “Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.” Daily prayer and Bible reading teaches us what God’s will is and how we are to do it. As we lift our souls and commit to serving Him, He makes our way known and protects us from all foes.
We can trust who God is and, in His faithfulness, righteousness, and lovingkindness that we can turn to every morning. Is your trust growing?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for hearing our prayers. Thank You for speaking your love and kindness to us through Your commands. Thank you LORD for proving to us that we can trust in You. Your Word and Your servants of old assure me of Your guidance and Your provision. I am Your servant and I trust in You. Amen.
