Today’s Affirmation: I do daily what is my purpose.
In Mark 1 Jesus amazed everyone one with His amazing power over the unclean spirits and His healing of the sick. Still the next morning He went off a long while before daylight to pray and focus on His Father and His purpose.
Today’s Affirmation came from what the Holy Spirit said to me at Mark 1:38(NKJ). “But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.”
Although, the disciples and His surrounding world were all looking for Him and pulling Him in other directions. He went out alone, prayed and focused on God and His purpose.
I am so thankful for the quiet times before daylight to praise my God. He is so worthy and I am so grateful for the example of Jesus. I pray and affirm today for my heart to follow God’s purpose for my life rather than the call of the world. Yes, I will do my purpose today. For this purpose I have come forth: to praise and serve my God and love my fellow man. I can rise a long while before daylight and go to a solitary place and do this. No matter what happens today I know that I have praised Him and asked Him to show me my purpose today.
God’s word is living! What does this scripture say to you? Do you find a different affirmation? Please let me know your thoughts.
Thank you Lord. Today, I am doing my purpose.
I read the affirmation on FB but reading your expanded thoughts drive this home even more. Thank you for bring into focus what I know but so often gets put on the back burner…
Every day I’ll ask Him to help me to walk in my purpose…
Happy Day my Friend…
Thanks Robin, may we stay in the middle of His purpose and recognize what is of our purpose and what is a hindrance to that purpose today.
Tom: I find the early morning my best time to get alone with God. I like to get to my office and have a Quiet Time before everything gets started. My heart is usually “clean” and my mind ready and refreshed. I don’t do well once the routine starts. My purpose is to help people find their hearts. But first I must find mine and put it in tune with Jesus’ heart for me. Thanks for the post Tom.
