Today’s Affirmation: I am thankful for the noble character of the mother’s in my life. 

I am so thankful for the mother’s in my life this Mother’s Day. Proverbs 31:10 says: “Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies.” (NLT) The NASV. Say’s an “Excellent” wife. The Message says “A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds.” 

In any translation, I am so very thankful for my wife the mother of my children. I am thankful today for my own mother and the examples of the hundred’s of mothers who have touched my life. 

Many translations make it sound like you are fortunate to find one. My heart breaks for those who did not have the blessing of having that virtuous mother in their lives. I thank God that in most instances I have witnessed there has always been a loving mother willing to step in and serve that role for a broken heart. 

As for me, I have been doubly blessed. I found a wonderful wife, whose virtue and character has been a true blessing. When I have been weak she has been strong. Because of her strength of character and virtues she had faith in me when I did not have faith in myself. She has worked tirelessly in support of her children and her home. 

The virtuous mother in my life taught me as the bible promised. She taught me the way I should go and I did return to it after seeking my own way for many years. I find wisdom in the teaching of my mother and I hang on to it. 

I witness the love and strength of a mother in my sisters and other women in my life; strong, beautiful virtuous women. Who can find? It appears in my life that if you can’t find one you are not looking. If you need one just look around and many will give you the love you need. I see powerful loving mothers each and every day. They are plentiful and are the glue that keep this world together. There is a love and comfort that only a mom can provide. 

Thank you mother. Thank you my dear wife. Thank you for being the virtuous women you are; excellent and full of goodness and righteousness.
