Today’s Affirmation: I am energized by doing the will of God and finishing His work.
After the disciples saw Jesus telling the woman at the well that He was the Messiah, they encouraged Jesus to eat something.
In John 4:34 Jesus said: “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish his work.”
That’s all the fuel He needed. He was fed by doing the will of God. Are you fed by doing His will? Personally, I have found that the more time I have spent meditating on these simple word’s in the Lord’s prayer we all have spoken, “thy kingdom come, thy will be done” the more I am energized.
I have a better idea of His kingdom today and am fed by doing His will. What is His will? Right now? The scriptures help us understand His ultimate will of loving us and being in a relationship with all of us. But what is His will for me, today, this very moment? Show me Lord. Speak to my heart. I just gotta ask and listen.
What I read in scripture gives me a picture of His will for me and His Holy Spirit reveals to me some specifics of His will that seem to be just for me. This blows me away and I feast off of it.
Go ahead, ask Him to open your eyes and ears for His will for you. Day after day just ask Him and see the energy, passion and hope He places in your heart. The food of life that gives us energy.
Do our feelings come and go with our hunger and our appetites. Yes, but His will is powerful and it we keep Him as our nourishment we will be filled, satisfied and prepared for any task He gives us.
Do you have a hunger that drives you?
Are there things in your life that drain your energy?
Do you think you can find energy from doing the will of God?
What is the will of God for you, right now? Bow to Him and ask for Him to reveal to your heart what will energize you to do His work.
May we finish His work.

Tom: I know you wrote this yesterday but it was my day off so I stayed away from commenting on any blogs. I struggle with making sure I have the fuel necessary to do the work I have been called to do. I need to do more sitting and less working. I don’t want to be a sprinter in a Tour de France life.
