Today’s Scripture: Ezekiel 11:5, KJB- “And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith the LORD; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them.”
We may not all be gifted with being a prophet of the LORD like Ezekiel, however, the Spirit of the LORD comes upon all of us who believe in Him and claim His Words. When we speak from the Spirit of the LORD we are speaking rightly.
Many times, we feel as we do not know the answers, yet if we pray to our LORD and ask His Spirit to speak through us, He does. We can rest and trust in the will of God and the word of God. Here in Ezekiel 11:5, we are told that the LORD knows every thought that comes into our mind and the King James Bible adds; “every one of them.”
We can trust these thoughts. Even the random thoughts we have as we pray. I have come to trust the Spirit of God with the thoughts I have while praying through Jesus’ prayer. I may question, wonder, and even know that when a thought flashes through my mind during my prayers to the Father that I can expect to receive His word upon the thought.
We can trust the thoughts given to us from the Spirit. We just need discernment between our thoughts and the thoughts of the Spirit. If they are in line with the Word of God, we can be bold in letting these thoughts be spoken. We must not speak from our fleshly fears but from our confidence in the LORD.
Ezekiel 11:10 states that we will know that God is the LORD when He executes His judgment. I, personally, have come to know that God is LORD because of the amazing “coincidences” that happen between my thoughts and the timing of His Word. God has removed all doubt from me.
The Word of the LORD will come upon us at the right time. We will know in our hearts what is right. God will direct us to where we are to be. I love Ezekiel 11:19, which states “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them.” (NIV) We have one heart of God among our many hearts.
When we speak and walk in the statutes and ordinances of God, we become His people and He is our God. If our thoughts are in line with the Words of God, we are living in line with Him. When we look to the God of heaven, we see the glory of the LORD and we can live and speak from Him.
Will you share the thoughts the LORD has given to you?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, Holy Spirit of God, thank You for Your thoughts. Fill us LORD with Your thoughts and words. We are thankful that Jesus Christ left for us this Helper. We can trust and rely on the thoughts and words of the Spirit of God. Show us Your Glory LORD and use us to share You. Put us in the land You have for us. Amen.
