Today’s Scripture: Ezekiel 37:14, NKJV- “I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it,” says the LORD.’ ””
May the Spirit of God breathe into us and make us alive today. May you claim the land He has for you. This dry bone story in Ezekiel 37 seemed like a fairy tale in my younger days yet I have now experienced its truth. When I seek security in things and rulers of this world, I lose hope. When I seek God and His Spirit within me, I find life.
Lord, God of Heaven breathe your life into me today, as you did those dry bones in Ezekiel 37:5 and make me alive. Now that is living. The drudgery of day-to-day worldly existence can blind us from living and hope. We can breathe in God’s Spirit and trust that He will place us in our land. Yes, I know the land God was speaking of in Ezekiel was for the Israelite people. However, do you believe God has a land, a place, a space where He wants you to be? Are you there now? Do you hope of a future land?
Father God, I do not know if I am in the land, You have promised me yet, but Father, I am asking you to fill me with Your Spirit right where I am. Please make me alive here and now in this valley. I praise you for the life you have breathed into me and brought these old dry bones to life.
1. Can you ask God to fill you with His Spirit today?
2. Are you in the land God wants you to be in or is there another land in which He is leading you? Do you have faith and hope that He has a place for you?
3. Will you ask the LORD, right now, to put His breath in you, so you will come to life? Then, you will know that He is the LORD and be fully alive.
Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, thank You for your breath of life. Thank You for Your Spirit which gives me life and the land You intend for me. Thank You for life, Your life that fills us with Your hope, joy and security. I am asking you to keep my eyes and my spirit upon You. Father, I am asking you to fill me with Your Spirit right where I am. Please make me alive here and now in this valley. I praise you for the life you have breathed into me and brought these old dry bones to life. Amen
