Today’s Scripture: Genesis 24:15, NIV- “Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milkah, who was the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor.”
Does the LORD appear to you while you are still praying? Do you get so “in the moment” that you see Jesus or feel the warmth of the light of God shining upon you?
I believe these prayers of Abraham’s servant in Genesis 24 are helping me see God and experience Him fully in prayer. This servant not only saw exactly what God would do to introduce Rebekah to him, but God also acted while the servant was still praying.
Quite a few years ago I asked Jesus to join me in my prayers. I do look for Jesus and I do see Him. I pray to experience prayer as He taught us and as He experienced it in the flesh. I can feel the warmth of God’s light shining down. I am experiencing God before I finish praying. I am praying to live with Him in all my moments.
Can you see the LORD as You pray?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, thank You for being with me now. Thank You Lord Jesus for walking with me and praying with me. I am thankful for Your light Father God. I welcome Your warmth and illumination. Open my eyes LORD to Your face and Your ways. Come now LORD and grant me Your visions to go, do, and act as You expect. I am thankful for Your Word for instruction and for Your presence for completion of Your will. Thank You LORD. Amen
