Today’s Scripture: Ezra 1:5 NLT Tyndale: Then God stirred the hearts of the priests and Levites and the leaders of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple of the LORD.
Ezra makes it clear that it is God who stirs our hearts for service. God stirred the heart of King Cyrus to rebuild the temple and He stirred the hearts of those called to help. In addition God stirred and moved the neighbors to support them materially.
Do you believe God is still in the heart stirring business? I do. Reading through several translations of Ezra 1:1-5 I concur that God stirs, moves, inspires, raises, and awakens our spirits. What has Yahweh stirred in your spirit?
Have you been inspired to join with others for a common purpose? Have you been moved for something specific? God will also stir the hearts of those around you to assist in your journey. God has appointed all of us to do His will and He will stir the hearts to make it happen.
Go where the LORD has stirred your heart; trusting and praising His name. How is God stirring your heart?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, thank You for stirring my heart. Please continue to move my heart where You want it. Inspire me to go where You want me and to help others go where You are sending them. I praise You with thanksgiving and proclaim that it is You who awakens our spirits. I am trusting in Your stirring LORD JEHOVAH guide me. Stir and move my heart today to the kingdom You have for me. Amen
