Today’s Scripture: Hebrews 12:25, NLT- “Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking. For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, we will certainly not escape if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven!”
We are not getting out of this world alive. Should not we live with and for the One in heaven who created all things. Whether you believe and accept that there is One Creator or not, does not change creation or our fate.
God has proven Himself to me. How? By repeatedly filling me with awe of how His Word speaks into my current world and thoughts. I often read the scriptures backwards, it seems. Circumstances or studies typically take me to a specific verse.
As I read back a few verses for context I often stop in amazement of realizing this Word was God speaking to me, at this very moment. A coincidence? I thought so, but at some point, you realize it is mathematically impossible that these things, “just happened.” Just like creation.
Since I cannot escape it, I am affirming to live life today to the fullest of God’s direction.
How do you listen for God?
Today’s Prayer: Thank You Lord God in Heaven for speaking to us. I am accepting You and Your Word. I am asking You now to guide me as You guided Your children with Moses. I do not know which way to go God and I need Your direction. Shake away all things I do not need in my life and give me the courage to fear only You. I know that I cannot escape You and I desire to go where You want me to go to complete the mission You have for me now. Amen.
