Today’s Scripture: 1 Peter 5:10, TLB- “After you have suffered a little while, our God, who is full of kindness through Christ, will give you his eternal glory. He personally will come and pick you up, and set you firmly in place, and make you stronger than ever.”
It is mind blowing to think that The God of all grace, the One who has called us into eternal glory in Jesus Christ, personally picks us up with His mighty hand.
1 Peter 5:6 promises us that if we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God that in due time, He will pick us up. Peter was speaking to the Elders of the church, and he was instructing them and us to feed God’s flock and to be eager to serve the Lord.
When we are humbled by life, when we need the mighty hand of God the most, He personally picks us up so we can feed others. If we are eager to serve the Lord out of our thankfulness, we do feed others. 1 Peter 5:7 instructs us to give God all our worries and cares. Casting all our anxieties and cares on Him, He cares for us.
Will you cast all your cares into the mighty hands of God today?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for picking me up with Your mighty hand. I am eager to serve You and feed Your flock. I am humbled to know that You personally care for me. I am casting all my cares and anxieties into Your mighty hand. With the power of Your might I am serving You now with eagerness and faith that Your timing is perfect. Thank You God. Amen.
