Today’s Scripture: Leviticus 26:12, NKJV- “I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.”
God is walking among us, are we looking for Him? Do the cares of living draw our attention away from living with God? God is our provider as He promised His people here in Leviticus 26. We are still His people, and He is still walking among us.
His Holy Spirit filled the tabernacle and God said he would build His tabernacle among us. We too are filled with the Spirit of God. His Spirit that prospered their crops continues to prosper our efforts. We must first honor Him and know that it is He who has the power and might to make our way.
We put most of our energy into making our way instead of putting our energy into worshipping and honoring Him by following His commands. We fall for the idols of work, prosperity, and society. Let us instead, fall on our knees before our Father. May we honor His sabbath and His commands. God is the only true source of security and safety as He promised those people in Leviticus 26:5.
In Leviticus 26:6, God promises He will give us peace, rest, and courage. God blesses us with His favor and fruitfulness. He is dwelling with us. What are we called to do to receive these things? Love Him and keep His covenants. When we reject Him and His covenants we experience the terrors, disease, and sorrows He refers to In Leviticus 26:16.
However, if we look and listen for our LORD who is walking among us, we will experience Him. When our souls are connected to His soul, we find His prosperity. Oppositely, when we do not listen, we do suffer consequences. As He promised in Leviticus 26:26, we will never be satisfied without Him. Our only true rest is found in our Father who is walking among us.
I am thankful that God offers us forgiveness. As He promised in Leviticus 26:40-41, we can humble ourselves and confess to our Father and He will remember His covenants with us. He will be the LORD our God and walk among us.
Today’s Prayer: LORD God, thank You for promising to live with us. Thank You for Your Word that came to us in the flesh that allows us to live with You. LORD, forgive me when I put other things before You and fail to recall that You are living with me. I praise You for the true peace, rest, and prosperity You have given me, and I love walking and living with You. I am looking to You for help in walking with You always. Amen.
