Today’s Scripture: Proverbs10:22, NKJV- “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.”
What does being “rich” mean to you? Have you ever desired to be rich? Is your life rich? Each of us have differing definitions and desires at various times in our lives. Yet, throughout the seasons of our lives, the riches and wealth of God prove longer lasting with more meaningful blessings and without the sorrows.
God’s Word is a wealth of riches. God’s blessings bring a richness to our lives that the riches of man cannot achieve. When we take the riches or wealth, God has given us the ability to produce as we are reminded in Deuteronomy 8:18, “But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth” (NIV)
God reminds us of the importance of His riches. What we do with the wealth He has provided to each of us makes for a richer life for us and others. God’s timing and His Word are rich. He provides the treasures when we need them most. Lasting treasures not hidden from us.
The currency of the heart gives life richness. Giving out of our poverty or our riches gives life and nourishes the fruits of God’s love. The blessings of God’s life and word for us are unmeasurable and unpredictable. However, God’s riches can be seen by all. His riches last forever.
We can lay ourselves and our wealth at God’s feet. In Revelation 2:9 John’s message from the LORD lets us know he knows where we are; “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.” (NKJV)
God knows our poverty…but we are rich.
- In what ways are you rich?
- What is your definition of wealth?
- Even in your poverty can you know and show you are rich in the LORD and love?
We are blessed with the richness of God. May we reflect on that today and be thankful and encouraged. In our richness may we produce fruit.
Today’s Prayer: Thank You, Heavenly Father for the riches of Your love for us. Thank You LORD for the wealth of Your word. Help us to be generous with the riches You have provided. Thank You for giving us the ability to create worldly wealth that You can convert into heavenly currencies. I am wealthy in You LORD and I have decided to share Your riches. Amen.
