Today’s Scripture: Deuteronomy 4:7, ESV- “For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as the LORD our God is to us, whenever we call upon him?”
Moses was reminding the Israelites to always remember what God, their LORD, had done for them when they crossed over into their promised land. A principle 8 verse in Celebrate Recovery is Deuteronomy 4:9, TLB which encourages us to always remember what we have seen God do for us.
Have you had a time when You have seen God work miracles in your life? Moses instructs us to be sure and tell our children and grandchildren about the glorious miracles we have seen God do. We should be faithful in telling our stories of how God came near when we called on Him.
We must be careful and faithful to tell others of the miracles we have seen. Many times, the miracles we have witnessed were not so much for us as for those other children of God who will be brought into faith because of the miracles we, ourselves, have received.
Do you have stories of when God came near and showed you a miracle?
Today’s Prayer: Thank You LORD God for being so near to us when we call upon You. I remember LORD when I was hopeless, and You came near and spoke to me through Your Word. I am careful to remember the many times You have spoken and appeared to me through Your commands. I am praying to be faithful in telling my children and grandchildren about the miracles You have done for me and Your children. Amen
