Today’s Scripture: Nehemiah 9:17, NIV-“They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate; slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them,”
I still refuse to listen and obey. Just like the people of Nehemiah, I am stiff necked. I also fail to remember the miracles God has performed in my life. LORD God Forgive me.
Lord God, thank You for who You are. Thank You for being a forgiving God Who is so gracious and compassionate. Thank You for being slow to anger. LORD I praise You for your abounding love and kindness. Thank You for not deserting me when I deserved to be deserted.
I am listening LORD and I am asking You, once again, to free me from my bondage and to help me turn to You and all of Your loving kindness. Please forgive me LORD for my awful blasphemies. Thank You LORD for not abandoning me in my wilderness. I am remembering now that You are still the God who leads and guides us in the way we are to take.
Will we remember who God is today?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for the many miracles You have shown to me. Forgive me LORD for my stubbornness. Thank You for being so gracious and compassionate to me. Please continue to be slow to anger and turn me towards Your abounding love and kindness. Thank You for not deserting me in my failings. I am praying to listen and remember all You have done for me today. Amen
