Today’s Scripture: Matthew 6:11, KJV- “Give us this day our daily bread.”
In Luke 24 the men from the road to Emmaus had their eyes opened when Jesus took the bread they had, blessed it, and broke it. In John 4 Jesus offered the woman at the well Living water.
Jesus, You are the water and bread of my life. I am thanking You now for the water and bread I cannot comprehend yet look to You for. I am lifting my life to You now and asking You to bless it, break it, and open my eyes to Your provision.
Lord, give me this day my daily bread. Thank You for yesterday’s bread. You Jesus are the bread of life. Open my eyes Lord to gratitude and confidence. Father, please give us what You know we need today. Please fill our hearts, minds, and souls with the bread of Your will and Your Kingdom.
Have you asked your Father in Heaven to give you this day’s bread?
Today’s Prayer: Father God in Heaven, thank You for allowing me to approach Your throne and to be filled with the bread of Your will. Thank You for Your people who have passed along Your instructions to us. I am asking You now for Your bread that I need today. I trust that You know what I need today better than I. Thank You for giving us Your bread this day. Please bless it, break it, and open my eyes. Amen.
