Today’s Scripture: Job 4:6, NLT- “Doesn’t your reverence for God give you confidence? Doesn’t your life of integrity give you hope?
In Job 4:6, Job’s friend Eliphaz is challenging Job by asking him if his reverence of God is his confidence? Of course, it should be but as creatures of bone and flesh there are times our confidence is shaken.
However, in times of most doubt our reverence of God may be our only confidence. Regardless of our circumstances, we can have confidence God and His Holy Word. I am confident that since I have chosen only to praise Him for who He is that He has given me confidence.
Fear and reverence for God give me confidence in the fact that He oversees all things beyond my control. I find confidence and so much more
- God loves me and cares for me.
- God is above all gods and His name is mighty, who else shall I fear?
- God is my Abba/ Father, I have an abundant love from him that fills me.
- God’s kingdom covers us and comes to us.
- God’s will will be done. This gives me confidence and peace.
- God is providing my daily bread both physically and spiritually.
Do you find your confidence in God?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are my confidence. In You I place my trust. Forgive me for when I am weak and feeble and lacking confidence. You LORD and Your Holy Word remind me of who You are. You are our LORD and savior. You are our creator and provider. You alone are my confidence. In You, LORD, I praise and seek Your will. Grant me the power to carry it out. In the name of Jesus Christ and His helper, the Holy Spirit, I do pray. Amen.
