Today’s Scripture: 1 Peter 1:13 ESV: Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
What are you hoping for? Where do you turn for hope? We can choose to turn to the same places as yesterday or fully to the grace of Jesus Christ.
In the previous verse 12 we learn the prophets before us were not serving themselves but us. Who are we serving today? The Holy Spirit provided the message to the prophets and He will provide our message.
I pray to be prepared for action and act obediently. I pray to turn away from my former passions and to be holy in all of my actions. I have been given the precious blood of Jesus Christ and I want to act and hope in Him.
Verse 21 tells us that Jesus was raised from the dead so our faith and hope would be in God.
Where are you placing your faith and hope?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for the grace of Jesus Christ and for Your Word. I fully set all of my hope in You. I love You and believe You. I am trusting that Your Spirit will conform me to be holy in all of my conduct so I can fully share Your good news and saving grace with others. Amen
