LORD, I am pleasing You today.

Today’s Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:9, NIV- “So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.”

The Holy Spirit sets our priorities straight. We know in our hearts, in our spirits, that we were made to please God. Paul knew the struggle of wanting to be with the LORD yet still working for the LORD here on earth.

The light of God and the Spirit of God radiate from our hearts for the benefit of others. While we are here on this earth we can share the story that God has written and carved on the tablets of our hearts. Every one of our stories and goals are to please God for the benefit of others.

Our lives on this earth are guaranteed to end. We are also told the Holy Spirit was given to us as a guarantee that God has prepared a place for us in heaven. We can live out and give out God’s guarantee.

Will you live today with your number one goal being to please God?

Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for preparing a place for us in Heaven. Thank You for promising to receive us and our loved ones into our heavenly homes.  Thank You Father God for the lives we can live to honor and please You. Help me today LORD to please You. Holy Spirit please guarantee that I will please God by sharing His hope and His guarantee. Help us to live by Your Spirit LORD until You receive our Spirit home. I am grateful for the hearts of those You have used to save me. Use me LORD. Amen.
