Today’s Scripture: Romans 10:9, ESV- “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
God’s Word here in Romans 10:9 instructs us to confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead and we will be saved.
Jesus is the cornerstone to build the rest of our lives upon. We can trust God’s design for life and for ourselves. We just have to confess and believe and trust in God’s power, compassion and riches.
Romans 10:17 states that faith comes from hearing and hearing comes from the word of Christ. I have found that I hear God in the Word of Christ. Because I hear God in His Word, I can confess my beliefs. We must be careful not to stumble over our understanding; we must trust and believe in our hearts.
Do you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead?
Today’s Prayer: LORD God, thank You for Your Word. I trust You to bring Your word to those who You intend. May my confession reveal Your power. My life depends on You LORD and I pray my life serves Your purposes. May the confession of my mouth be heard by You and the ones who you intend. Amen
