Today’s Scripture: Romans 4:18, NIV- “Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.””
Do we believe God is at work or do we believe our lives are our works or happenstance? We expect and take for granted much of life’s experiences, don’t we? Day in and day out we go through the motions of life with little regard or appreciation to God.
Sometimes it takes an extraordinary event to remind us that God is at work. We find the need for hope and belief in a power greater than ourselves when we lose control. We have far less to do with our outcomes than we arrogantly believe at times. If we continue to give God the credit and glory and we believe in His promises we always have hope.
I am receiving the promises of God. I just have faith, believe it, and know that it must be God. I am finding strength in God. I am fully convinced and I believe God, do you?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, I believe You. My hopes, dreams, and beliefs are grounded and lifted in You. I am confessing my hope, belief, and faith in You now. I am giving You all the glory for the great and seemingly small things You have done in my life and in the lives of those I know and love. All of my faith is in You Father God and Your Son Jesus Christ. Thank You for convincing me of Your promises and glory. I believe that You raised Jesus, my Lord, from the dead and that You have raised me as well. Amen.
