Today’s Scripture: 1 Peter 3:5 NLT: This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They trusted God and accepted the authority of their husbands.
I love how God reveals His love, even out of context. God’s Word is forever true and His love is guaranteed even if we cannot see it. God brought me to 1 Peter: Chapter 3two days ago. It begins with “in the same way”, so I HAD to read Chapter 2. Of course, chapter 2 began with “so”, SO I had to read Chapter 1.
I arrived back at 1 Peter: Chapter 3exactly when I needed it. I NEEDED this perfect chapter today. I know what this verse and chapter says and I also know what it speaks to me today.
God does make all things beautiful in its time. What appears ugly to the world and others is truly beautiful in Him. A beauty that NEVER fades comes from the inside and what we have in our spirit.
I trust God for the beauty in all things, do you?
Today’s Prayer: O LORD, my God, I praise Your name. Thank You for Your Word, our Lord Jesus Christ and You Spirit of Truth. True unfading beauty is Yours and I trust You to bring beauty to my life from what You have placed in me. Help me LORD to live from the inside out trusting in the beauty of the Holy Spirit who dwells in me, forever. Amen
