Today’s Scripture: Acts 20:26, NIV- “About noon, King Agrippa, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, blazing around me and my companions.”
Have you seen a light from heaven, brighter than the sun? I saw it about ten minutes ago. Like Paul, this light has changed my perspective and direction. Paul was on the road to Damascus to hunt down and persecute another Jesus follower.
I am often on the wrong path as well. I am thankful for the light of God. It can be blinding, warming, awe-inspiring, and reassuring. While blinding our eyes it draws our spirits to it with beams of connection. True heart-strings.
God, please blind me from my evil intentions. Change me and those around me. Like Paul, when I fell to the ground I actually heard God call my name. I pray to get up and keep moving forward as Jesus directed to Paul so that I can be His servant and be a witness of what I have seen and will see of Jesus.
Have you seen the light of God?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, Lord Jesus, thank You for Your light. I am thankful and praise Your name for appearing to me. Continue to draw my gaze and my heart to You. Please blind me of what I need to be blinded of. Direct me where I need to be directed. Use me where I need to be used. I am Your witness and I have seen Your light and pray to be Your servant and witness to what I have seen and what I will continue to see. You alone are God and You alone are my light of hope and strength. Amen
