Today’s Scripture: 1 Corinthians 16:22, NIV- “If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. O Lord, come!”
We need the love of Jesus. Even to love Him we need Him to come and help us. We are made to love Jesus and others. I am not a good lover of Jesus and others so Jesus I need You to come and provide love.
1 Corinthians 16 does remind us that God will bring His servants into our lives to encourage us. We all need encouragement in service and love. Neither is easy. Paul reminds us that although there is opposition we must continue to carry on the work of the Lord.
We must stay alert and stand firm in our faith with courage and strength even in the face of opposition. Sometimes I think I am the opposition. Paul tells us to do everything in love. Do I do everything in love? Unfortunately not, but fortunately, Paul tells us that He sends others into our lives to give us what we lack.
I need You Jesus, please come and teach me to love properly.
Today’s Prayer: I love You Jesus, please come now. I need You and Your servants to teach me how to serve and how to love completely. Thank You Lord Jesus for the doors You have opened for me. Help me to stand firm in my faith and to be strong and courageous to serve Your people. Help me to welcome those You have sent to serve me. Help me to honor them. Fill me with Your love Jesus and use me to serve Your people. The grace and love of the Lord Jesus be with us all. Amen.
