Today’s Scripture: I Chronicles 16:34, NIV- “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
Thanks “GIVING” feels differently than thank “FULL” doesn’t it?
When I struggle to get to where I need to be in prayer, I have found that if I stop thinking of things to pray about and simply give thanks and praise to God for who He is, I am where I need to be. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 instructs us “in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.” Giving thanks every day in all circumstances also puts us where we need to live.
When we live from a place of giving thanks to the LORD, our hearts become fuller of love to give to others.
Do you feel a difference between thankfulness and thanksgiving; or is it just me?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, I give You my thanks. I praise You for being my God and my LORD. I thank You for Your mercy, Your grace and Your love. I overflow with thankfulness Father God and ask You to help me be a better thanks giver.
I love You and thank You for Your many blessings. Amen
