Today’s Scripture: Ezra 9:5, NLT- At the time of the sacrifice, I stood up from where I had sat in mourning with my clothes torn. I fell to my knees and lifted my hands to the LORD my God.
Do you have one experience that you can say has changed your life forever?
If I had to give just one thing that has transformed my life, I could not give a better description than here in Ezra chapter nine. When I fell to my knees and lifted my hands to the LORD my God, my life changed forever.
I am no different than Ezra and these exiles. I have been both unfaithful and faithful at times. Yet at both ends of the spectrum and every place in between, falling to my knees and lifting my hands to the LORD my God is the answer to any question.
In guilt or in thanksgiving, in cries of need or cries of praise the best and most powerful place I have found is on my knees.
Do you ever fall to your knees and lift your hands to the LORD your God?
Today’s Prayer: Father in Heaven, on my knees before You I am humbled and in awe of Your great love for me. Forgive me LORD for my unfaithfulness. Thank You for grace. In anguish and in delight I fall before You and praise Your name. You LORD are my hope, my promise and my joy-always. Amen
