Today’s Scripture: Psalm 92:4, NLT- “You thrill me, LORD, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done.”
Do you sing for joy for what the LORD has done?
True joy, thrilling joy is found in what the LORD has done; not in our performances. Psalm 92 reminds us that God’s love is forever and we should sing praises for His faithfulness.
If we declare what the LORD has done day and night, then we will know His joy and sing a beautiful song. We have plenty of opportunities to see the works of God’s hands. If we focus more on His works than our singing we find joy. Songs that spring from the gratitude of our hearts for what the LORD has done make a joyful noise.
Our songs are beautiful not for the sound but by our declaration that the LORD’S steadfast love and faithfulness are forever. You LORD are the Most High God and we are singing Your praises.
Will you sing your praises of thanksgiving to the LORD today?
Today’s Prayer: LORD, I declare Your steadfast love in the morning and I declare Your faithfulness at night. It is Your love and Your faithfulness that bring me joy. Forgive me when I seek joy in the performances of man. You are forever and You are my rock. I sing for You. Amen
