Today’s Scripture: Hebrews 12:1, GNT- “As for us, we have this large crowd of witnesses around us. So then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us.”
We and our faith will be tested. Lives are changed in an instant. There are seen and unseen forces that can impact life and death. By faith we try to understand and accept. Regardless of our current feelings and beliefs, the sun will set on this day and rise again tomorrow.
We have thousands of years of witnesses who teach us to cling to faith. We can keep going in our best attempt to please God. We must have faith to please God as stated in Hebrews 11:6. We must believe that God exists even in those moments we cannot see, hear, or feel Him. We must have a holy fear and a holy trust in God.
This moment will pass but our God will not, and we can place all our faith with Him. Life and death can be cruel and heartbreaking, yet we have witnesses who have gone before us that will remind us of God’s race for us.
Today’s Prayer: Father God, I am trusting You with this day. LORD, surround us with the witnesses from old and new to help us stay on course to finish the race You have given each of us. You Father God are the maker and the builder of our lives. LORD, please provide us with faith when we have none. Help us to finish our race towards the heavenly homes for all Your people. Father, I am trusting Your plans today. Amen
