Today’s Scripture: Mark 1:35, KJB- “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”
If it was good enough for Jesus it is good enough for us, right? After sunset the towns people had brought all the sick and demon possessed to Him. We are told He healed various diseases and drove out many demons as referred to in Mark 1:32-34.
Yet, here we are, early the next morning while those who desire to place more requirements upon Him were still asleep, he got up and left the house to find a place of solitude. In this place of solitude, He prayed.
Many times, I have wondered what the prayers of Jesus must have been like. I ask many mornings to experience the prayers of Jesus. What I do know is that when He was found He knew exactly where He needed to go next, and He knew why He was here.
The same happens with us, I believe, as we follow Jesus and His prayer life. We find ourselves certain of where we are to go, what to do next, and why we are here.
Have you tried Jesus’ prayer routine?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, I am here a great while before day to pray. Teach me LORD to pray as Jesus did. Grant me clarity and resolve in going and doing what You have sent me here to do. Grant me confidence and boldness to only fear You and to fulfill my purpose where You have me. Thank You Holy Spirit for praying with me and for opening my heart, mind, and soul as to why I am here. Amen.
