Today’s Scripture: Hebrews 2:1, ESV- “Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.”
Hebrews 1 tells us this earth will wear out like a garment, but Jesus will last forever and ever. Therefore, we should pay more attention to that which will last forever. We should listen closer, seek more diligently, the Son of God.
Many, without Christ, think they can save the planet and fear death, yet will not work to save themselves and others for the sake of Jesus Christ. We find joy in Jesus. Hebrews 1:10 states that Jesus formed the earth with His hands.
With His hands, His Spirit, and His Word he continues to form us. We must pay closer attention to Him, so we are careful not to be distracted by the voices of this world. God continues to confirm our attention to Jesus with signs, wonders, miracles, and the Holy Spirit.
We must share the glory of God we have been given. We must not be ashamed or distracted. Are you paying attention?
Today’s Scripture: Thank You Heavenly Father for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to save us. Help me to pay closer attention LORD and heed the message of Jesus that I have heard and read. We are praying to live as the brothers and sisters of Jesus. I am proclaiming Your name Father God and singing Your praises. I am putting all my trust in You LORD, and I am praying to pay closer attention and resist the distractions of this world. Amen
