Today’s Scripture: Psalm 25:1, KJV- “A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.”
We can lift up our souls to the LORD, right now. In addition to Psalm 25 I have been in Luke 17:33 where we are told that if we let go of this life, we will save it. If we lose our lives we will preserve it.
Letting go and giving our souls saves us both in the short term and for all of eternity. In Luke 17, as people are working and living side by side, one will be taken and the other left behind. I am sure we all say to the LORD, “take me”. To be taken in that day we must give up our life and lift our souls to the LORD.
We can trust the LORD, more so than we can trust our fallen selves and this fallen world. We can give our hopes to the LORD and wait on Him.
Are you lifting up your soul to the LORD?
Today’s Prayer: LORD God, my God. I am lifting up my soul to You now. I am letting go of this life in hopes of saving and preserving it to be with You always. All my hopes are in You LORD. I am trusting You LORD. I am waiting on You and working while I wait. Help me to work always with my goal to always be with You forever.
