Today’s Scripture: Psalm 138:1, NKJV- “A Psalm of David. I will praise You with my whole heart; Before the gods I will sing praises to You.”
David provides us with the formula for having a great day. With the commotion and cravings of other “gods” in this world, we can begin our days by praising the God of David with our whole heart. When we rise to only bow down towards God we are positioned properly.
When we begin our days praising God’s name for His lovingkindness and truth, He magnifies His word and name for us. As we start our days crying out to Him, we do receive His answers. We find, day after day, that God answers us in the strangest ways. God mysteriously takes all of Him and all of us and intertwines amazing stories.
God magnifies what He desires to magnify in Himself and in us. He takes our whole selves and our whole hearts and emboldens us to be His. As Psalm 138:3 states, he reveals the strength He has placed in our souls. We have an inner strength that comes only from God. We can live bold lives from the strength God has put into our souls.
I am amazed at how God takes our different seasons and continues to take who we are and adds other people and circumstances to glorify Him. We do find strength in the God who dwells in our souls. We do find boldness as we praise the God who dwells in heaven.
We can glorify God today and sing His praises in whatever ways we sing.
- Do you rise in the morning to praise God first?
- How has God magnified the strength of your soul?
- How do you sing God’s praises?
Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, God of Heaven, and earth, I am giving You thanks with my whole heart. I am singing Your praises now. Thank You LORD for being within me and strengthening my soul to be bold in glorifying You. Before all gods and all others, I am singing praises to You. In all I face, I am facing them with my face bowed down towards You LORD. Thank You for the boldness to live as You desire. Amen.
