Today’s Scripture: Romans 12:11, TLB- “Never be lazy in your work, but serve the Lord enthusiastically.”
Lord knows I can be lazy and painfully slow at getting things done. Romans chapter 12 reminds we are to do our part of the body of Christ enthusiastically. It is equally important that each person and part of the body be enthusiastic in their duties.
We all need each other. If we all place our faith and focus on God and in serving Him we form this beautiful body of Christ. God has plans for each of us. Your plans are not mine and mine are not yours. We are to put our faith in God and reliance in our fellow Christ followers.
God help us to really love and pray for others. Help us trust Your plan and give us enthusiasm. This will most likely be at odds with the customs of this world so we need to work together as the body of Christ.
Are you enthusiastic about your part of the body of Christ?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, I give You my body as a living sacrifice today. Help me Father to be the part of Your body You created me to be. Help me to live in the full measure of faith You have given me. Help me LORD to love others and to see their gifts and how we can work together enthusiastically for You. I am thankful that You have the plan Lord God Almighty and that all I need to do is seek to follow it. Help me to be patient and to help others. Help me to be at peace with others as much as possible. Amen
