Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 65:12, NKJV- “Therefore I will number you for the sword, And you shall all bow down to the slaughter; Because, when I called, you did not answer; When I spoke, you did not hear, But did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight.””
We have a choice today. My spiritual journey, my affirmatic study of scripture began when God began revealing His delights to me. When He opened my heart, mind, and soul, to His character.
Back in Isaiah 64:8 we are told “But now, O LORD, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.” We can trust God’s design over our selfish and world influenced design.
In fact, in Isaiah 65:2, God is saying He stands all day long and holds out His hands to us BUT we just “pursue our own imaginations”. I am praying now that we all choose to pursue what God delights in and not what our fleshly mind can imagine.
God has forgiven me for seeking my own dreams and for making so many evil selfish choices. I am praising our Father for loving me and showing me that life is so much richer and fuller when I choose what He delights in.
Yes, it is inspiring to dream. As for me, I pray that I dream daily about what God delights in. That I read His Word every day to search for the treasures like Isaiah shared with us to seek what God delights in. God is our potter, and He is shaping us to be exactly as he intended. God and His delights shape our purpose.
1. Can you pause right now and ask God to reveal His delights to you?
2. Can we pray together that we and this world will choose what God delights in?
3. Do you include God in your dreams and imaginations or are you pursuing your own imaginations?
Today’s Prayer: Almighty heavenly Father. I am asking for You to reveal Your delights to me. I am praying LORD to choose only what You delight in. Guide me LORD to live in Your delights and to share Your delights with all others. Thank You LORD for loving us and molding us into the masterpieces You delight in. Amen.
