Today’s Scripture: Ephesians 3:8, NKJV- “To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,”
We must choose. In recovery, we must first choose to admit that we are powerless over our addictions and compulsive behaviors and that our lives have become unmanageable. I made the mistake of opening social media before my prayer time this morning.
Our world is in a mess that we, as humans, have made unmanageable by our choices. Ephesians 2 and 3 are reminding me that Jesus Christ came to tear down walls between all of us so we can all live in the household of God.
Like ants, we humans, go back to building walls, as soon as Jesus tears them down. Mankind builds walls to divide and conquer out of fear of lack. Dishonest and fearful people preach scarcity and fear. Paul tells us in Ephesians 3:8 that we can choose to live in and preach of the unsearchable riches of Christ.
What world will you live in today?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your gift of Jesus Christ who restores us from the insanity of living in the frailty of flesh. I am thankful for the unsearchable riches of Christ. I am thankful for the home built upon the apostles, prophets, and the chief cornerstone of Jesus Christ. I am thankful I can choose to live with You LORD with Your Spirit. I am choosing to trust in You and Your riches LORD. I cannot search and find the end of Your love and provision, and I will preach of Your peace and love that is un-ending and available to all. Amen.
