Today’s Schedule: Mark 1:38, KJB- “But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.””
Jesus had been alone in prayer when the disciples caught up with him saying everyone is looking for you. Mark 1:38 shows that Jesus was confident and resolute in His purpose strengthened by His time alone with God.
For people pleasers, such as myself, we go scurrying back to please those who are looking for us or expecting certain things. Our days quickly turn amazingly fast into lives not lived on purpose but on the whims of people and a world completely devoid of caring about our purposes.
Worst yet, the evil one, the ruler of this world, who came only to kill, steal, and destroy our purposes, uses everyone and thing he can to distract us. Therefore, we must live as Jesus lived. We must rise early and separate ourselves from the cares of this world and get alone with God Himself to seek His face, kingdom, and will.
As we pray for our daily bread to feed our daily purpose, we grow more confident and consistent in completing the purpose in which we came forth.
Will you act on your purpose and why you came today?
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for welcoming me into Your presence. I am here LORD to do Your purpose. I am welcoming Your kingdom and Your will into my life and world. Thank You for today’s bread of life to help me give and do what You alone have given me to give and do. Help me LORD to be confident and resolute in going and doing what You have for me today. Please provide LORD. Amen.
