Today’s Scripture: Colossians 1:3- NIV- “We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,”
Paul’s salutation to the people of Colosse, gives us insight into Paul’s prayer life and instruction for our own. I experienced this in my own prayer life this morning and I was mindful of it.
Sometimes my “connection” with God in my morning prayer seems disconnected. But this morning like many others I noticed that when I hallowed His name by thanking Him for who He is, I suddenly sense a spiritual connection.
I thank Jesus for being with God at Creation and yet coming to earth to take lashes for me. When I thank the Holy Spirit for praying for me in these moments of my lack of mental capacity or energy, I am more connected than ever.
Do you struggle to pray? Try thanking God for whatever pops into your mind and spirit when you are seeking Him or praying for others. He builds our faith prayer after prayer coupled with the power of His Word.
Today’s Prayer: Our Father who art in Heaven. Hallowed be Your Name. You alone are Holy. Thank You LORD for bringing Your kingdom and will to us. Thank You Jesus, though with God in the beginning, You took human form and came to reveal God’s kingdom and will to us. Thank You Holy Spirit for reminding us of everything Jesus taught and for praying on our behalf. Thank You for teaching us the prayers of thanksgivings that lift our spirits to Heaven and connect us to the Almighty God, the Father of Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
