Today’s Scripture: “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, Matthew 6:22 ESV
God just made me laugh out loud Experiencing God in such real and physical ways makes the Word of God come to life.
As I looked to Him in my secret place this morning the Spirit of God revealed to me the physical feeling of the Spirit. Seriously, like Gideon and his blanket I played a game with God this morning. When I peered into His light with my inner eye I felt His presence. When I looked away from the light I would lose sight of the sensation of the Spirit. I consciously did this several times.
Then as only God can orchestrate, I “happened” to be at Matthew 6 this morning. Here in 6:22 He revealed to me what I was experiencing. When my eye is on His light my body is filled with His light. When my eye looks away I am drawn to that which I look.
Do you ever look to see God’s light? You will see, feel and be His light.
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing me to see Your light and to know Your light is real and here with me now. Help me LORD to keep my eye forever on You so I may be Your light. Teach me LORD how to live the fullness of Your light. Amen
