Today’s Scripture: Genesis 45:5, NKJV- “But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.”
Somewhere along the line I heard the phrase “trust the process”. In recovery, if we trust the process, we end up sober. Here in Genesis 45, Joseph is telling his brothers to just trust God’s process.
Like Joseph’s brothers, we too feel grief and anger for what we have done in our lives. We can trust God, His promises and His process. No matter what brought us here we are here to preserve and save lives. We must not let our guilt, regrets, shame, or anger prevent us from telling our stories of how God saved us. In sharing our salvation stories, we help others preserve life.
We can trust Romans 8:28 where we are promised “that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Our purpose is to tell others of how God saved us so others too may be saved. Will you live your purpose?
Today’s Prayer: Father God, thank You for sending me here. I am trusting You LORD that You sent me here to save and preserve life. I am thankful for these stories in scripture as well as the testimonies I hear from my brothers and sisters. In hearing how You have brought others to You, I am encouraged and reminded to trust Your ways LORD. LORD, I am trusting in Your promises and Your processes that You have brought me here to preserve life. Do Your will in and through me. Amen
