God help me to fulfill Your plans in the number of days You have already decided for me.

Today’s Scripture: Job 14:5, NLT-“You have decided the length of our lives. You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer.”

God has already decided the lengths of our lives then why do we fear and strive to affect those days? With a set number of days we have a set number of things that need to be done today. As Job declared we can speak directly with the Almighty God, and reason with Him.

Ok God You planned this day for me, what am I to do today? In which direction is my next step? Guide me God. I am not worried about the number of days I have but what I do in these remaining days that I have for You.  Help me Almighty God to be faithful in my life and to be an encourager to others to be faithful in theirs.

Like Job, may we look to God and not others for direction.  As Job’s friends, most of us are miserable comforters with our opinions and perspectives. May we look to God and reason with Him to fulfill His plan.

Today’s Prayer: Almighty God, thank You for Your creation and Your order. Thank You for the days You have given me. Forgive me for the many days I have wasted. Help multiply my efforts today to assure that I do what You desire so I finish the race You have given me. Guide me LORD; guard me LORD, so that I serve Your purposes. Please help me make the most out of this day for You. Amen.
