Today’s Scripture: Galatians 2:20 NIV: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Do you have a life verse that you claim above all others? Galatians 2:20 is mine. Every time I read it or repeat it my soul and my spirit meet at this place. What does “I have been crucified with Christ” mean to you?
I claimed this verse while I was still a practicing alcoholic. I knew I was the problem. I was practicing what Paul was talking about in Galatians 2. I was living a hypocritical life. I knew I had to die. Funny thing when I admitted I was powerless over my addictions I was able to admit I was powerless, period.
An amazing thing happened, when I died, Christ filled me. Yes, Christ lives in me just as He promised. The life I live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. What verse brings you to life?
Today’s Prayer: Lord Jesus, I continue to offer myself up to You and thank You for taking my old life and giving me Your new life… I thank You for living in me. You fill me Lord. Please take this life that I live in the flesh and strengthen my faith, so I too may give myself up for others. In Your holy and mighty name, I pray. Amen
