Today’s Scripture: Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.Romans 14:4 NASB
The Lord is able. The Lord is able. The Lord is able. How often must I remind myself of this fact? Do I live, do I think, do I trust, do I really believe that the Lord is able? Whoever put together this One Year Chronological Bible by Tyndale must think so. Trying to mentally, emotionally and spiritually digest all the power in Romans chapters 11-14 in one day is virtually impossible.
But The Lord is able. The Lord’s word is there for me at EXACTLY the perfect moment. When I am least able He is most able. In Romans 12:2 tells us we are being transformed by the renewing of our minds. Transformed means change. Are You being changed too?
This Tyndale NLT translation says let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. God IS changing the way I think. I need His power to do as I should and say what I should. What a battle we have mentally, emotionally and spiritually every day. The Lord is able to sort things out and provide exactly what we need when we need it. Yes the Lord is able.
Today’s Prayer: LORD, thank you for being able. I need you now. I am powerless. I am not able. I praise You for being Mighty and I need all of Your power and Your strength. Help me to live to please You. Change my mind and my heart. Help me to love and to allow You to speak. Stop me from my self. I am asking that Your Spirit overpower my flesh. I believe You are able. Amen

Gosh it’s taken so long for me to be able to say that God truly is transforming the way I think…and the way He does that, I believe, is with his Word…we have to be in His Word. Thank you for reminding me to drink deep every day … and I agree with you in praying that the Spirit would overcome my flesh.

Yes…and I am able to more receive His abilities when I get out of His way.
