Today’s Scripture: Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? (ESV)
Ok, sing along. Jesus loves me this I know for the bible tells me so… Do you now where in the bible it tells you so? One of the specific places is here today in Romans 8:35 we know NOTHING can separate us from His love. Yes, Jesus loves us.
Does anything else matter? Abba, Father I accept Your love and thank you for adopting me: 8:15: “…but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” (ESV) Through God’s love and adoption He has given us His Spirit to dwell in us. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us and prays for us. The “Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” (Romans 8:26) How amazing is that?
Like Paul, states in verses 36: I am sure that nothing “in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (ESV) Can we set our minds on God’s Spirit of love for us today? Come on, sing along.
Today’s Prayer: Abba Father! Thank You for Your love. Thank You for adopting me as Your child. Thank You for Your Son Jesus who loves me and for Your Spirit who lives in me. Thank You for giving me life and peace. I will face today knowing You love me and all will work for the good. I love you God and welcome Your Spirit and am thankful that the Spirit and Jesus know what I need and I cherish their prayers they are placing with you on my behalf today. Amen
