Today’s Scripture: Ephesians 5:8 NLT: For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!
Now that I have the light from the Lord, will I live there? Darkness is absence of light. We sometimes choose to live in darkness, don’t we?
Paul says do NOT fall for this. Do NOT be fooled by those excusing darkness. We must be obedient to keep the blinds of our hearts open to allow the light of the Lord to shine in. This light that shines in us produces only what is good and right and true.
We must carefully determine what pleases the Lord. We must take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret Paul says. I am ashamed at my ungodliness at times.
I am asking the Lord to shine His light into my darkness, are you? Let your light shine Lord and expose any darkness in me.
Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, please shine Your light into me. Please expose all darkness in me. I am confessing and opening up my heart to Your light Lord and I pray to live there, always. Please replace my shame with the hope and promise of Your light. Amen
